Did you know that a heat pump water heater is two to three times more energy-efficient than a standard gas or electric tank heater? Or that a heat pump is three to five times more efficient than a gas boiler?
If it’s time to replace your old water heater, clothes dryer, or heating system with an energy-saving model, but you don’t know where to start, call VCE’s new Electric Advisor service. Our trained advisors will help you find the best electric upgrades for your home. We can also help you find rebates and incentives to cover part of the cost!
This new service is 100% free for VCE customers.
How the Free Electric Advisor Service Works
Here’s what will happen when you visit electricadvisor.valleycleanenergy.org or call 855-699-8232 to connect with an Electric Advisor.
- You’ll start by sharing a few details with us about your house and your needs. (You don’t need to commit to making any purchases.)
- VCE’s highly trained advisors will create a personalized report. We’ll identify the right electric appliances and other upgrades for your home — and provide cost estimates for each.
- Our advisors can help you locate local contractors for installs. The advisors can also review the bids you receive from contractors.
- Then we’ll search our database of dozens of federal, state, and VCE incentives to show you how much you can save.
Unlock Savings by Applying for State Incentives
California recently set aside millions of dollars to help households buy energy-efficient appliances and upgrade their home’s electrical system.
Some of the home upgrades they cover:
- Heat pumps for space heating and cooling
- Heat pump water heaters
- Electric cooktops, ranges, and ovens
- Heat pump clothes dryers
- Electrical equipment such as electrical panel upgrades and wiring
Some of these incentives and rebates became available in October 2024 with more programs anticipated to launch in 2025. The California Energy Commission (CEC) provides updates on the availability of all of these programs.
