Chad joined VCE in November of 2025. As Director of Power Services, Chad is responsible for planning, procurement, and management of VCE’s power portfolio, to provide clean, affordable energy for VCE’s customers. Chad has over 20 years of experience in energy portfolio management and regulation, managing some of the largest and most innovative renewable energy portfolios in the country. At Pacific Gas and Electric company, Chad managed contracts for some of the first large solar and wind projects in California, and helped develop procurement programs for small renewable, biogas and biomass projects. Chad helped Facebook grow their renewable energy portfolio from 500 MW to over 10 GW. Most recently, Chad managed battery and energy portfolios in California and around the country for Equilibrium Energy. Chad earned his B.S. in Business (Information Systems) from Indiana University and earned his MBA in a joint program between University of California Berkeley and Columbia University. Chad is proud to join VCE and serve the community with clean energy.
